(a) To help prevent diabetes in the local population

(b) To help screen for diabetes in the local population

(c) To help enable people detect the symptoms of diabetes early

(d) To help improve our member’s self care management of diabetes

(e) To offer comfort and support to diabetes patients, family and carers

(f) To offer administration support to diabetes consultants, doctors, sisters and nurses

(g) To raise money for Diabetes UK to pay for research into diabetes and cures

(h) To raise money to buy equipment and other benefits for diabetes patients

(i) To lobby for better diabetes healthcare and patient pathways
