Next Meeting
Our meetings are open to members of the
public.
Our Next Meeting is on The Talk will be by Shahjalal Ahmed who is Southern Operations Manager at Medical Imaging UK (which is the company that operates our Diabetes Retinopathy Screening Service (DRSS). The talk will be on retinopathy, the screening service itself, on making appointments, what the screening looks for, what happens next if they find a problem, and on possible treatments. We meet at Conference Room (Rainbow 2) Heart of Hounslow Health Centre 92 Bath Road, Hounslow TW3 3EL (It is on the corner with Hospital Road) (Please park in the free public car park next to Yates Pub on the Corner of Lampton Road)
We thank the PCT for agreeing to let us hold our voluntary group meetings in the Conference Room at the new Heart of Hounslow Health Centre. This is the new purpose built health centre built on the site of the old Thelma Golding Health Centre. The car park charges are 24 hours a day and the car park is patrolled. Parking in the disabled bays is free provided you display a valid disabled badge. As we hold our meetings in an evening, there will be ample free car parking after 6.30pm in the public car park next to Yates Pub on the corner with Lampton Road. As the health centre is on the edge of the Town Centre, there are excellent bus, tube and main line services within easy reach too. We hope this location will be more central for our visitors from Feltham, the area that we recently took over responsibility for from the disbanded Diabetes UK Feltham Voluntary Group. This health centre is one of the largest purpose built health centres in Europe and offers excellent facilities. The views from the top floor where the conference facilities are located are impressive as well. We meet on the last Wednesday of the month inJanuary, March, May, July, September and November
